Claudia Black with an American accent

Just thought I'd drop this in here for fun as it caught me in a bit of a weird out after all the Farscape and Stargate where she talks in her natural Aussie accent. Didn't quite expect her to sound like this as an American.

I remember when she did the Dresden Files, she had the same accent. I think part of the accent comes from not having a dialogue coach for an extended period of time, like she would have on a feature or if she were in a series full time.

I don't get me wrong, I think she sounds perfectly fine this way to say the least.

When you hear someone talking all the time in an accent that's foreign to your own you can kind of lose a handle on what their voice really sounds like. I think that's what happened to me, since I certainly wasn't prepared for her to sound like this.

They played this ep on sci-fi channel tonight. It's a little robotic sounding and very strange coming from her lips.

unless your doing a Historic film where accuracy is important like Damian Lewis in Band of Brothers, - Why?
I Would think all you are doing is hamstringing the actor.
I think Claudia did a great job though, and I caught a glimpse of it flicking through the channels.
but the civilized vampire with a heart routine never took with me.
to me the best Vampires are monsters.
Anne Rice, the "Who cares about the cattle play things" vampires.
Or Quentin Tarantino - beasts with an unquenchable apatite.
Claudia will always be Pandora to me.
