Harassment
  1. Every member has a right to express themselves within the boundaries of the rules.
  2. Disagreements and debates are inevitable. Focus on the topic and do not personally attack other members.
  3. Do not engage in hate speech. It is not acceptable to post messages advocating or supporting violence against real people either individually or based on group membership, nor is it acceptable to dehumanize or degrade them with characterizations of, or comparisons to, perversion, illness, or unsupported criminal accusations.
  4. Do not quote, or link to, any source in substitution of your own words for the purpose of engaging in hate speech or personal attacks. Sources include, but are not limited to, other members within this forum or other forums; real people past or present, living or dead; fictional characters; works of literature, film, television, art, or music; magazine, brochure, newspaper, or web articles; or sacred texts.

  3. Do not post for the purpose of requesting, trading, or advertising illegal downloads of copyrighted materials.
  4. Do not copy a post made in another forum here without that author's permission.

  2. When discussing a specific episode in a thread specifically created for that episode and titled for that episode, it is reasonable to expect spoilers about that episode will be openly discussed and no further precautions need be taken.
  3. Never reveal a spoiler in the title of a thread. Instead, keep the thread title vague, like

    “SPOILER: Major Events for George”.
  4. When posting in a more general topic thread, use spoiler tags to hide the spoiler information.

Posting Guidelines
Here are some guidelines to consider when posting. These are not rules, just some basic etiquette.
The moderators have sole discretion in interpreting the intent of the rules & guidelines and policing the board.

Personal Information
  • Please be careful in transmitting personal information online. If you must, please post it in the private forums or via private message to minimum the risk.
  • Personal photos are likewise discouraged. If you must, please post them in the private forums.
  • Please resolve personal disputes in private.
Posting in the Correct Forum & Thread
  • Please familiarize yourself with the forum and post in the appropriate forum and thread.
  • Stay on the thread topic.
  • If your post is drifting from the thread topic, feel free to start a new thread in the appropriate folder.
  • It's not a rule. Threads sometimes drift off-topic. It's just something to avoid whenever possible.
Thread Titles
  • When you create a new thread, make sure your thread title is descriptive enough for other members to easily understand the point of the thread and stay on-topic.
  • It is also helpful to establish the parameters of the discussion in the first post.
Attribute Quotes to Members
  • When quoting other members, put the quoted content inside quote tags:
    {quote=member} content {/quote}
with square brackets instead of the curlies shown here where member is the member's name and content is the quoted content.
  • Alternatively, put the quoted content in "quotation marks" and cite the member.
Naming Offsite Usernames
  • It's best to avoid naming names of members of other forums since they are not here to defend themselves.
  • Alternatively, feel free to link to their offsite posts.
Large files
If you post a link to a source containing a large file, please describe the file size and file type as a courtesy.

Reporting a Post
If you believe someone is violating the forum rules or posting off-topic, it is better to report the post to the moderators using the triangle icon in the lower-left corner of the post than confront the member.
